I won’t make an excuse for not giving the two drawings I promised.
I’ll just give you a story that my paint-drawins simply cannot describe.
You have to see it to believe how lucky a person can get:
In case you’re wondering “where are my fegging drawings!?!?!”, then I can only say there’s not much news going on. Someone go blow something up, please!

With utter lack of inspiration at hand, I give in this fine evening (morning, really), and give you something fun to watch instead. TWO DRAWINGS TOMORROW, PROMISE!
You’re gonna have to follow this link, due to copyright-restrictions (Cannot embed! D:).
Yes, I know what you’re thinking! SO GANGSTA!!!
Admittedly, it’s quite a catchy track overall. But this one made it far better for me:
Enjoy! And sorry!

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to track any English articles to back this story up, so excuse me to English readers, but I think this is important to pass on anyway.
I also realize I mentioned my hatred towards the media’s obsession over the Swine Flu, and how they make it worse, but stay with me!
I read today that the “Government Pension Fund of Norway” (or “Oljefondet”, which we like to call it, the fund where the oilmoney is invested in order to make a better future for your savings and your carcass) has invested heavily in the company that pushes the vaccine against the Swine Flu. Due to a recent massive boost on the stockexchange in the mentioned company, the Norwegian government has, apparently, almost fully regained the money spent on purchasing vaccines for the Norwegian people.

I don’t know about you, but I find the aspect of investing in such an important country downright appalling.
It kinda reminds me of the scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail:

P.S. Concerning the title of today’s post, see what I did thar?
P.P.S. Sorry if there’s some fail in the “coding” of today’s post, but I can’t figure out why it’s doing it, and I can’t be bothered digging deep to solve it just now!
Giving Nazis a sanctum
Posted by Fawri in Nov 08, 2009, under Nazism, Relevant
Another latenight update, I’ve been busy all day! (This time I actually have been busy!)
Adolf Hitler’s childhood home is up for grabs for a mere £ 2 000 000 these days, and as the sale goes on, the world watches and trembles. Both local authorities and neighbours (amongst most of the other thinking inhabitants of the world) are afraid the house will become a “shrine” for Neo Nazis.
Obviously, they shouldn’t be given the pleasure, I suggest someone out there puts their foot down.
If they fail to do so, I’m still not worried though. There’s a simple solution to the matter.
Yes, I realize I suck at drawing squint Svastikas. Isn’t it terrible?

Persistance is the key to success, etc, etc, etc.
So they say, and it’s arguably the case with this story.
Cha Sa-soon from South Korea passed her written exam for the driver’s license yesterday – on the 950th attempt!
Now only the final test remains before she can slam her 4 wheels of fury (!!) on the road and burn rubber! Or tend to her door-to-door business, as the story goes.

P.S. today’s title is the first half of an old saying, but what was the twist of this saying used in “Portal”? (Game). 10 WoWgold again up for grabs!

That special effect
Posted by Fawri in Nov 06, 2009, under Silly, The AXE-Effect
I was actually not on time with what is now YESTERDAY’S post! D: I’m getting bad at this already.
I’ll still give you a story, though, and it’s a good one!
Wait, what? This doesn’t make sense?
No, I do realize that you don’t get instantly attractive (or rich, goodlooking and famous, for that matter) by spraying down with AXE. But Indian Vaibhav Bedi wasn’t quite aware of this. He has been loyally using AXE-products for 7 years. If you take a look at the commercials they air, you would assume that means his privates are pretty much exhausted, but he has actually not had a single relation during those 7 years!
And for this lack of AXE-effect, he is now suing AXE for aproximately $ 50 000. Because of the mentioned suggestive commercials, he feels he has been tricked by false advertising, and is now demanding compensation for his lacking attraction he has paid for over the last 7 years.
A quick example of the vile trickery AXE pushes upon Television viewers:

I fell for it. I failed you, dear audience. Nevertheless, I am proud to have presented you with an epic tale of fail, and will keep it up here. Mostly because it’s 00:34 AM.

I dedicate today’s post to Bjørn Erik Nesse, my brother in law, who is a devoted Newcastle-fan. God help him.
Today’s post is another sportsstory. If sports bores you, don’t worry, I’m sure you would find it interesting nevertheless!
Newcastle United Football Club’s board has announced that their historical home ground, St. James’ Park, will for the rest of the season be sponsored by Mike Ashley’s (Owner) company Sportsdirect.com.
No biggy when I put it like that, but what has horrified many people, not only the toon fans, is the new name the stadium thus be giveth. The club will soon have the “pleasure” of welcoming it’s opponents and fans to the “sportsdirect.com@St. James’ Park Stadium“. No, you did not read that wrong.
Disgusting as it is, in these times of financial crisis (and after the performance-crisis Newcastle displayed last season), it is becoming increasingly popular to name whole stadiums after the main sponsor, as long as they pay or contribute enough. Over here (in Norway), we have some grand examples like “Telenor Arena”, “Komplett.no Arena” and “Color Line Stadion”. Beautiful, magnificent, dazzling! I’m just waiting for my “own” team to rename Brann Stadion to “Sparebanken Vest Stadion”. In fact, I’m gonna drop that right there, before I get nightmares.
NUFC’s owner, however, doesn’t really seem to care much about the club. After having recently failed at selling the club, he turned to this in order to boost his own company. Basically he’s swinging his penis at every person with an interest in the geordies.
On the other hand, the name is now as ugly as geordies in general tend to be! (You may have seen the Stockholm vs. Newcastle Nightclub duel? No? OK, I’ll post it for you!)
[/caption]So as you see, if you’re after a stunning girl, try Stockholm first, then if desperate, go to Newcastle to steal the decent-looking girls from the beat up chavs in wheelchairs.
Right, anyway! Back to the point!

Cool, “naturefriendly” and lethal
Posted by Fawri in Nov 03, 2009, under Cars, Environment, Hybrid Electric Vehicles, Relevant, Transportation
I noticed in an article that there is such a thing as a “Sports-Hybrid Electric Vehicle” (or whatever), and I asked myself “What’s the point?”.
I know it’s the flavour of the month to have a hybrid car, but seriously, being trendy and cool at the same time in 2009 (or 2010, for that matter), doesn’t really work.
Notice how the “cool” HEV is mashed up, the Toyota Prius is badly bumped (but far from totalled), whilst the Touraeg has barely a scrath and is thinking “how in ze hell did I get up hier?”.
No, people, it doesn’t work. You just look like an idiot in the “cool” version anyway. If you really want a hybrid, go for the Toyota Prius (on the right), it actually looks quite nice.
If you’re desperate for a cool hybrid, then go all out.

That’s it for today, until tomorrow, bye!
Batball
Posted by Fawri in Nov 02, 2009, under Basketball, Bat, Halloween, Random
Not really a newsstory, but I figured it was more interesting than the one-sided Afghani Election..?
During the NBA-match between the San Antonio Spurs and the Sacremento Kings, a bat started flying across the floor. When people noticed this, the refferees decided to stop the match. Yes, that’s right. They felt the bat was such an immense threat that the game had to be paused until the threat had been – as the Americans like to call it – neutralized.
As the bat seemingly dissapeared, the match continued, but when it reentered the stage within the Spurs-guard Manu Ginobili’s range, he went for the KO.
As you can see below, he succeeded:
A quick disenfection, and the game was yet again ready to go.
Also worth mentioning, the happening took place on what better date than Halloween.
Read the story here.
Norwegian here.

Until tomorrow, take care!
Journalistic Pandemic
Posted by Fawri in Nov 01, 2009, under Health, Swine Flu
Sorry for yet again posting late, there just aren’t enough hours in the day for me to think, breathe AND slack.
There’s this thing that’s been spreading like a nasty virus through the media over the last 6-7 months. It started as a local thing to Mexico, and quickly grew bigger and bigger, until it finally got out of all proportion. Today it “finally” reached your dear, dear blog. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m mighty tired of hearing of the Swine Flu. Because of the media’s ability to make things look 500 times worse than it actually is, the Swine Flu has grown from a “hey, we might need to take a look at this”-kinda situation, to “ALL FUCKING HANDS ON DECK, THE GERMANS ARE COMING”. Kinda.
Personally, I think it’s all a huge conspiracy to make people scared of pigs. Somewhere, up there in the system, someone is avenging that time he got raped by the hog on papa’s farm. He would like them all to be slaughtered, but he’ll have to go with second best. For now.

I’ll try to be quicker with tomorrow’s post, but no guarrantees!
